DELTARUNE Battles How to Invite Friends
Land in the same Castle Town server and open party versus without relying on VIP servers.
Why invites matter more after mid-August
DELTARUNE Battles is an online Roblox fangame by dreamysdead (universe 10411121857). Party versus only starts when two or more people share a party and open the Party menu. After the mid-August 2026 publish documented on Mid-August 2026 [1 DAY] Update, the listing shows VIP / private server creation is not enabled. Friend invites and Roblox join-on-friend are now the practical way to share a server.
This guide is unofficial and not affiliated with Toby Fox. Social menus can move in a WIP. Treat the steps as a durable checklist and verify labels in your live build. First-join orientation still lives on Getting Started.
Confirm you are on the same experience
- Share the official place from Wiki Links—not a lookalike fangame.
- Check the creator name dreamysdead and the Castle Town / Dojo fantasy before you start inviting.
- Agree on keyboard binds: Z/K confirm, X/L cancel, C/M menu (Controls).
- Decide the session goal: Dojo lab, Mercy practice, or versus. Do not mix all three in the first ten minutes.
If someone joined the wrong place, no party menu will save the night.
Ways groups actually meet (VIP off)
Join on friend. The most reliable path is still Roblox’s friend list: one person joins DELTARUNE Battles, others press Join on that friend. Busy 2.0M+ visit hours can fill a 25-player server; if Join fails, wait a minute and retry rather than hopping random public servers.
Roblox Party / invite UI. Use the platform Party tab or in-experience invite controls if they appear in your build. Any active party member can usually add existing friends. Age and privacy settings can block invites—fix those on Roblox, not with a “party unlock script.”
Chat link. Paste the official Roblox URL. Links do not guarantee the same server instance; after everyone loads, use Join-on-friend to collapse into one instance.
Paid VIP is not a current workaround. See Retry & Private Servers for retry commands and the honest VIP status.
Once you share a server
- Meet in Castle Town, not mid-Dojo pattern.
- Form the in-game party the experience expects (party list / Party menu).
- Confirm everyone can open C/M without panic.
- Warm one training foe together using Castle Town Dojo before anyone opens versus.
- Only then start Party Battles.
Spectator coaching belongs between turns. Mid-dodge voice spam causes friend casualties.
Party versus rules that keep invites fun
When 2+ people are ready:
- Announce “versus” vs “shared Dojo lab” in chat.
- Call retries before you fire
/retrytogether-style helpers. - Finish Change Character swaps before the first versus confirm.
- Use Party Comp Tier as etiquette, not a gear table.
If one friend is still learning lanes, stay on Soul Dodging and How to Spare instead of forcing PvP.
Troubleshooting “we cannot find each other”
Join button greys out. The 25-player cap or a full instance is the usual cause. Have the host leave and rejoin, then others Join again.
We are in the same experience but different Castle Towns. You are on different instances. Stop using the generic Play button; use Join-on-friend.
Party menu has no versus option. You may have only one person in the in-game party, or you are inside a fight UI. Cancel with X/L, return to Castle Town, and rebuild the party.
Someone offers a server browser script. Reject it. The Scripts Hub still has no scripts found for this exact game.
Someone promises invite codes. Cross-check the Codes Hub. There are still no publicly confirmed promo codes.
Busy-hour etiquette
Mid-August traffic means more random joiners in public servers. Keep sessions shorter, write one note per wipe, and run the Battle Prep Checklist before you stack friends into a Knight attempt (Roaring Knight).
After any new publish, smoke-test invites with the Post-Update Audit so you do not discover a broken join path mid-event.
Practice plan (20 minutes)
- Host joins and sends one invite.
- Everyone confirms binds on the Controls Cheatsheet.
- One shared training foe.
- Optional single versus round.
- Stop while the group can still explain deaths.

Invite first. Versus second. The Dojo is louder now; coordination is the quiet skill.
